Corona recovery cases cross 3 lakh

The number of recovery cases from coronavirus has crossed three lakh with a decreasing trend of death and infection in the country.

According to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), some 1,509 more Covid-19 patients have made recovery in the last 24 hours raising the total number of recovery cases to 300,738.

However, Bangladesh reported 15 new deaths from the virus in a daily count, taking a total of 5,623.

Another 1,527 coronavirus patients are found in 24 hours, raising the total number of infections to 386,086.

A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) made the disclosure on Friday afternoon.

In the last 24 hours, 109 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 13,577 samples.

Of the total sample tests, 11.25 percent tested positive in the past 24 hours, while 18.04 percent cases were detected from the total tests conducted so far, the release added.

Among the total infections, 77.89 percent patients have recovered, while 1.46 percent died so far since the first COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the country on March 8.
